$5,000 Reward


The North Dakota Stockmen’s Association, subject to the approval of its Board of Directors in each case, will pay a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information resulting in the arrest and conviction of any person stealing, butchering or shooting cattle, horses or mules within the state of North Dakota. The reward is offered on the following conditions:

1. The determination of whether to pay the reward in each case shall rest solely in the discretion of the North Dakota Stockmen’s Association Board of Directors. The reward will not exceed $5,000. Of that amount, up to $4,000 of the association’s dues-paid revenue shall be paid for information in cases involving North Dakota Stockmen’s Association members’ animals. That is in addition to the $1,000 reward the North Dakota Stockmen’s Association pays for information in cases involving non-members’ animals.

2. If more than one informant is eligible for the reward, the amount of reward may be divided between the informants as the Board of Directors shall deem proper.

3. The property involved must have been stolen, butchered or shot within the state of North Dakota.

4. The reward offered is revocable at the will of the directors of the North Dakota Stockmen’s Association.
