Rewards are being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for killing cattle in North Dakota pastures.

In Hankinson, N.D., 13 cows and a calf were killed in May, and on July 4, 9 head of cattle were killed in Oliver County.

In both incidences, additional donors have added funds to NDSA's standing $1,000 reward to help bring thse livestock criminals to justice.

The NDSA has had a standing reward for inforrmation leading to the arrest and conviction of any person caught stealing, butchering or shooting cattle, horses or mules within North Dakota since its inception in 1929.

 

14 head of cattle worth $30,000 near Hankinson, N.D., were shot in May. The shooters entered the pasture owned by David Kluge of Hankinson and opened fire. 13 cows died immediately and another was injured and had to be destroyed.
