Young Cattlemen's Legislative Conference

The NDSA hosts the Young Cattlemen's Legislative Conference every two years during the legislative session. One couple from each of the association's six districts is selected by NDSA board members to participate in the conference.
The conference includes a tour of the NDSA headquarters, a review of the bills that could affect the livestock industry, the process of how a bill becomes a law, a visit to the governor's office, the North Dakota Department of Agriculture, the North Dakota Beef Commission, local legislators, committee hearings and floor debate.
This conference is designed to help spark an interest in the policies affecting the beef industry, to develop new leadership within the NDSA and to inform them of the NDSA's involvement in the legislative process.
2011 is the next legislative session.
